Refunds & terms
Plain rules for online orders.
How ordering, refunds, renewals and your information work when you order through this website. Written to be read, not to hide things.
The short version
- Full refund before work starts. Work starts only after you accept, by email, the delivery date we propose.
- Full refund if we can't take your brief or we can't agree a delivery date.
- After work starts, anything not yet delivered is refundable. Delivered work that doesn't match the agreed brief is fixed within the included revisions — or refunded if we can't fix it.
- If we can't deliver, you get your money back for everything undelivered.
- Nothing renews automatically. Monthly items are one month each.
- We don't promise views, rankings or sales. We deliver the agreed design work.
- This policy doesn't take away any rights you have under the law or through PayPal.
Who you're dealing with
FADY UNLOCKER is a small remote design studio based in Egypt. We work mainly with small businesses and creators in the United States. We don't have a US office or US address.
Contact: hello@fadyunlocker.com. All order messages, schedules and refunds are handled by email.
Payments are processed by PayPal. PayPal currently shows our account name as “animation video” — that's us. Prices are in US dollars.
Ordering and the delivery schedule
- You choose services, write a short brief for each, and review the order on this site.
- You send the brief by email from your own email app. This website doesn't send anything for you.
- For fixed-price thumbnail items, you pay in PayPal's cart. PayPal asks for two short notes on each item: your video or channel link (or topic) with your brief reference, and how to reach you. The order page gives you the exact text to paste. For quote requests and website care (currently quote-first), nothing is charged on this site.
- Within 2 business days of receiving your brief, we reply: we accept it and propose a delivery date, ask questions, or tell you we can't take it.
- Work starts only when you accept the proposed date by email.
If you don't accept the date we propose, or we can't take your brief, we refund the order in full.
If you pay but we don't receive a brief, we'll write to the email address PayPal gives us. If we don't hear back within 14 days, we refund you in full.
Quote requests, including website care for now, get a written scope and price by email. Quoted work is booked and paid only after you accept that written scope; the refund rules below apply to it, plus anything the scope adds.
Refunds
An item counts as delivered once we've sent you its first complete version in the agreed format. Revisions included with the item still follow after that.
| Situation | What happens |
|---|---|
| You cancel before work starts | Full refund. |
| We can't accept your brief, or we can't agree a delivery date | Full refund. |
| You cancel after work has started | We stop, send you anything already delivered, and refund every item not yet delivered (amounts below). |
| Something we delivered doesn't match the agreed brief | Tell us and we fix it within the included revisions. If we can't fix it, we refund that item. |
| We can't deliver, or we miss the agreed date and you'd rather not wait | Refund for every undelivered item. You can also choose a new date instead. |
| You paid twice, paid the wrong amount, or paid for something that isn't in your brief | We refund the extra payment. |
Refund amounts for undelivered parts
| Service | Refund for undelivered parts |
|---|---|
| Thumbnail test ($20) | $20 if the thumbnail hasn't been delivered. |
| Monthly thumbnails ($125) | $15.63 for each of the eight thumbnails not yet delivered, never more than the $125 you paid. |
| Website care ($50, once accepted and paid) | $25 for each of the two edits not yet completed. |
| Quoted projects | As set out in the written scope you accepted. |
What isn't a reason for a refund
- Changing your mind about an item after its first version has been delivered. We'll still complete the revisions included with it.
- Views, click-through rate, rankings, subscribers or sales. We never promise these, because they depend on much more than design.
Neither of these limits the situations above: if delivered work doesn't match the agreed brief, the fix-or-refund rule still applies.
How to ask for a refund
Email hello@fadyunlocker.com with:
- your PayPal transaction ID or your order reference (it starts with FU-), and
- what you'd like refunded and why, in a sentence or two.
Timing
- We reply within 2 business days.
- Once a refund is approved, we start it in PayPal within 3 business days, back to the original payment.
- We refund the full amount you paid for the refunded items. We don't deduct PayPal's fees.
- When the money reaches you is up to PayPal and your bank or card issuer, not us. A refund to a PayPal balance is usually quicker than one to a card or bank account.
Your other rights
This policy is our own business policy. It is in addition to, and doesn't replace or limit, any rights you have under the laws that apply to you, or under PayPal's buyer protection and dispute processes. You can use those at any time.
We'd appreciate an email first, because we can usually sort things out quickly — but you don't have to email us before contacting PayPal.
Scope, revisions and renewals
- Scope. Each item's included and excluded work is listed on the order page and repeated in your order review. Anything outside it is quoted before we do it — no surprise invoices.
- Revisions. A revision round is one consolidated set of notes on a delivered version. The thumbnail test includes one round; monthly thumbnails include one round per thumbnail. A completely new direction is a new item, not a revision.
- Monthly items. Monthly thumbnails and website care cover one month, starting from the date we agree by email — not from the payment date.
- No automatic renewals. We don't use subscriptions or saved payment methods. To continue, you place a new order.
- Website care is only for sites we built or have reviewed, and never needs your passwords in a brief. If we need access, we agree a safe way by email. For now it's quote-first: we confirm eligibility and the edits before you pay.
Your materials and our files
- Only send photos, logos, footage and text you have the right to use. Tell us if something is a placeholder.
- Once an item is paid in full, the final delivered files for it are yours.
- Not included unless your written scope says so: working or source files, and third-party assets licensed separately (such as stock images, fonts or music). Those stay under their own licenses.
- We ask your permission before showing commissioned work in our portfolio.
What information goes where
The order pages are plain web pages. They have no server, no user accounts, no database and no analytics.
- In your browser: the list of services you selected is kept in this browser tab's session storage, so it survives moving between pages. It holds service names only. Your brief and contact details are kept in the page's memory and disappear when you close or reload the tab.
- By email: your brief reaches us only when you send it from your own email app. You see the exact text before sending. We keep order emails in our business inbox for as long as we need them to deliver the work, handle refunds and keep basic business records. Ask us at the address above if you'd like yours deleted sooner.
- On PayPal: payment happens on PayPal, under PayPal's own terms and privacy policy. We never see your card or bank details. PayPal asks for two notes on each thumbnail item (your video or channel link or topic with your brief reference, and how to reach you); you type or paste them yourself. PayPal shares those notes, your payment name, email and transaction details with us. Your full brief is never sent to PayPal. When PayPal's cart is shown on our checkout page, PayPal's script runs on that page and may use its own cookies or storage.
- Fonts: like the rest of this site, these pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google's servers.
Please don't send passwords, card numbers, home addresses or private documents in a brief. We'll never ask for them there.
Changes to this page
If we change this policy, we'll update the version date at the top. The version you saw when you placed your order applies to that order — your order email records the version date.
